1.2. For the purpose of the Data Protection Act of the Republic of Mauritius, we are the data controller (i.e. we are              responsible for, and control the processing of, your personal information).

2.1. Information you give us

We collect personal information about you, including your name, billing address, shipping address, e-mail address, phone number, mobile number, the pattern collected, order details, and, financial and credit card information (where applicable) when you purchase products from us. We also collect your personal information when you sign up for our newsletter and when you contact us.

2.2. Information we collect about you

With regard to each of your visits to our site we will automatically collect the following information:
(a) technical information, including the Internet protocol (IP) address used to connect your computer to the Internet, your login information, browser type and version, time zone setting, browser plug-in types and versions, operating system and platform and
(b) information about your visit, including the full Uniform Resource Locators (URL), clickstream to, through and from our site (including date and time), products you viewed or searched for page response times, download errors, length of visits to certain pages, page interaction information (such as scrolling, clicks, and mouse-overs), methods used to browse away from the page and any phone number used to call our customer service number.


2.3. Information we receive from other sources

We are working closely with third parties (including, for example, business partners, sub-contractors in technical, payment and delivery services, advertising networks, analytics providers, search information providers, credit reference agencies). We will combine this information with information you give to us and information we collect about you, for the purposes set out below (depending on the types of information we receive).  


2.4.  We also work across social networks and we may run advertising on these networks to capture sign up to our            database.  All data captured will be held securely within our email database system and users can opt out at              any time.


2.5. Recorded Sessions

Our website may also use a website recording service which may record mouse clicks, mouse movements, page scrolling and any text keyed into website forms. Data collected by this service is used to improve our website usability. The information collected is stored and is used for aggregated and statistical reporting, and is not shared with anybody else.



2.6. Monitoring and recording communication

We may monitor and record communications with you (such as telephone conversations and emails) for the purpose of quality assurance, training, fraud prevention and compliance.

3.1. We will only use your personal data when the law allows us to. Most commonly, we will use your personal data           in the following circumstances:

  • Where we need to perform the contract we are about to enter into or have entered into with you.

  • Where it is necessary for our legitimate interests (or those of a third party) and your interests and fundamental rights do not override those interests. Legitimate interests means, for example conducting and managing our business to enable us to give you the best service/product and the best and most secure experience.            (a) allow us to keep you updated via e-mail and SMS on the latest product updates and special offers, if you               have consented to receive marketing communication; and 
           (b) notify you of any discontinued products

(a) third party banking organisations. They receive the information needed to verify and authorise your payment and to process your order. These companies are under strict obligation to keep your personal information private.

(b) our delivery service provider, if you place an order with us. This is to enable them to update you on status of your delivery;

(c) third parties in the event that we sell or buy any business or assets, in which case we will disclose your personal data to the prospective seller or buyer of such business or assets;

5. Working with suppliers and contractors

We work with a number of suppliers and contractors and as part of this relationship we do collect personal data of suppliers and business customers to enable us to carry out our contract with them. We will also market to our business customers to keep them up to date with news unless we are asked to remove them from our mailing lists.
